Christmas Giving Program Brings Joy to Vulnerable Families

Christmas Giving Program Brings Joy to Vulnerable Families
This year, more than 200 families served by the Catholic Children’s Aid Society of Toronto can look forward to a happier yuletide celebration, thanks to the generous donors to our annual Hope for Children Fund Adopt-A-Family Program.

“It’s wonderful to see how this Christmas giving program captures the imagination of our donors. They carefully select gifts for their ‘adopted’ family with thoughtfulness and compassion,” says Kara Spedding, Manager of the Hope for Children Fund. “It’s exciting to think about the happiness these gifts will bring to children and youth on Christmas morning.  Without our donors, many of these families would be experiencing a very different Christmas,” she adds.

Though the Adopt-A-Family program is wrapping up its last gifts for the year, there is still time to support our most needy families at Christmas.

Please donate online at and select Christmas Program from the designation field.  We will direct the funds to purchase gift cards for our neediest families so that they can enjoy a memorable Christmas.

Your gift means so much!

Merry Christmas!
Adopt-a-Family Thank You Letters:
“The world is a better place with people like you!”

Recipients from the Hope for Children Fund’s Adopt-a-Family program express their gratitude through words of thanks and appreciation to their donors for giving them hope and comfort this holiday season.
Dear Donor,
We are so thankful for the help we received at Christmas. This is the first year in four years that our family has had gifts for Christmas!
We are thankful for the coat, boots and gift cards.
There are no words that can express how thankful we all are!

Thank you.

To a Special Family,
My family and I are so very grateful for the thought and gifts that you have provided for us this Christmas. The smiles on the children’s faces, I will never forget, and for that my appreciation is too great to put down in words. I wish you all the best this year and many to come. The world is a better place with people like you.
All the best,
The “A” family
